Meet the Instructors of the Goethe-Zentrum Atlanta
Irina Köhler
Irina has been working with the Goethe Zentrum Atlanta since 2019, where she focuses mainly on beginner levels A1 and A2. Over the years, she has led regular, progressive, and intensive courses, and has also supported students in preparing for their A1 exams. As a certified examiner for Goethe A1 and A2 exams, she enjoys guiding learners through important milestones in their language journey.
Classes taught by Irina are interactive, supportive, and designed with her students in mind. She enjoys creating a relaxed and engaging atmosphere where learners feel comfortable experimenting with the language and building confidence step by step. She believes that learning a language should be both meaningful and enjoyable—no matter the level.
Originally from Ukraine, Irina studied in Germany and holds a Master’s degree in Linguistics. She speaks Russian, Ukrainian, German, and English fluently, and also enjoys using her conversational Spanish.
Irina loves traveling, meeting new people, and learning about different cultures—interests that naturally find their way into her teaching and help make her classes lively and connected to the real world.
