Angelika Otte

Originally from Munich, Germany, Angelika has a degree in Eastern European Studies and German Language from the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich. After graduating with a Magister Artium, Angelika worked in international customer relations with U.S. headquartered companies in Germany and then for a German company in Los Angeles. After her move to Georgia in the 2000s, Angelika started her own translation and tutoring business. For many years, she taught German to children, teens and adults in a variety of settings and acquired her Certificate in Foreign Language Education from Kennesaw State University.
Angelika joined the Goethe-Zentrum Atlanta in 2021 as Language Program Director after several years as a high school German teacher in Metro Atlanta. She oversees all aspects of the language program, develops curricula and contents, and enjoys teaching language and culture as well as cross-cultural awareness.
In her spare time, Angelika enjoys the outdoors with her husband and her dogs, and the beautiful combination of Southern, all-American, and international culture and cuisine throughout Metro Atlanta.
