Angelika Otte

Angelika Otte

Angelika Otte joined the Goethe‑Zentrum in 2021 as Language Program Director and successfully served as Interim Executive Director from August 2025 through February 2026. In her new role as Co‑Executive Director for Language and Operations, Angelika will continue to build on her dedicated tenure with the organization.

A resident of Metro Atlanta for over 20 years, Angelika brings a lifelong passion for languages, cultural exchange, and community engagement to her roles at the Goethe-Zentrum.  

Originally from Munich, Germany, Angelika studied Eastern European Studies and German Language at Ludwig-Maximilians-University, earning her Magister Artium. She began her career in international customer relations with U.S.-headquartered companies in Germany before relocating to Los Angeles, and later to Georgia, where she built her own translation and tutoring business.

A certified public-school teacher, she earned her Certificate in Foreign Language Education from Kennesaw State University and has spent many years teaching German to children, teens, and adults across Metro Atlanta.

Outside work, Angelika enjoys family time, outdoor adventures with her dog, and exploring Metro Atlanta’s rich cultural diversity.

We offer a comprehensive and progressive German language program from beginner (A1) to full mastery (C2). Specialized courses and topic‑focused workshops support learners at every stage - whether you are just starting out, advancing your skills, or preparing for professional or academic use.

Classes are offered at multiple locations, including Downtown Atlanta, Roswell, and on-site at companies and colleges. And with 60% of our courses available via Zoom, you can join from anywhere.

Looking for private instruction tailored to your schedule or goals, or tutoring for your student? We’ve got you covered.

Need proof of your German language proficiency for living, working, or studying in Germany? As a Goethe-Institut certified examination center, we serve the Southeastern United States with exams from A1 Fit in Deutsch through C2.

EVENTS & GATHERINGS

Our cultural programming continues to expand and offers something for every age and interest.

From film screenings and heritage programs to exhibitions, literature events, panel discussions, networking, lifestyle and sports activities, music, and even beloved fairy tales, our calendar brings German-speaking culture to life in dynamic and meaningful ways.

We host interactive in-person events at our cultural center in Downtown Atlanta and throughout the Metro Atlanta area. Many of our programs are also accessible online via Zoom, making it easy to join us from anywhere.

KULTUR ENSEMBLE

FRANCO-GERMAN CULTURAL CENTER

As an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, we continue the legacy of the former Goethe-Institut Atlanta (1976–2007). Altogether, we have served the German-speaking community across Atlanta and the Southeastern United States through language, culture, and community programs for 50 years.

In 2023, we officially became KULTUR ENSEMBLE!

One of only nine such organizations worldwide, and the only one in North America.

In partnership with the Alliance Française d’Atlanta, we offer joint cultural events, heritage programming, and immersive experiences for all.
