Do you need an official certificate for work, study, or a visa? Test with us - Goethe-Institut exams are recognized all over the world, and we are an official exam location serving the Southeastern United States and beyond.
Please note: All exams are pass/fail exams. There is no progressive grading scale across different levels in any of the exams, and each exam level is meant to provide evidence of your previously acquired language skills at the level you register for. If you need help finding out what exam level matches your language learning background, your ability to comprehend written and auditory information, your active written communication skills, and your verbal presentational and interpersonal communication skills, please contact us at language@goetheatlanta.org with a phone number for a callback and consultation.

Upcoming Exam Dates in Atlanta
Exam dates for 2026 will be published in mid-December. A1, A2 and B1 will be offered end of February-early March dates TBD.
Registration for January 2026 Exam Prep Sessions is open!
A1 Writing and Exam Prep - 4 sessions starting January 5th
B1 Writing and Exam Prep - 4 sessions starting January 7th
All exam registrations are non-refundable once registration closes.
Standard turnaround time for exams taken in Atlanta for levels A1 through C1 is four weeks, for C2 up to six weeks. We cannot expedite exam results to accommodate individual requests. Exam results are certified at our regional office before certificates are distributed.
If you need an exam certificate for an appointment with a consulate, embassy, or other organizations, please plan accordingly when registering for an exam with us or any other exam location.
