Annemarie Schwarzenbach Photography Exhibition
Annemarie Schawarzenbach was a German-Swiss author, journalist and photographer who traveled the world in the 1930s. Although she only lived to be 34 years old, she lived a full life in her short time. Of her travels Schwarzenbach spent significant time in the Southeastern United States, including in Georgia. With support from the Consulate General of Switzerland in Atlanta, we will showcase Schwarzenbach’s black/white images that reflect her experience during her travels. The exhibition opens October 8 at 7pm. We will serve light refreshments and have a brief presentation from Professor Stefanie Ohnesorg of University of Tennessee at Knoxville. The event is free and open to the public. However, we do request that you register in advance.
