German film screening: Nowhere in Africa

Calling all cinephiles! The Goethe-Zentrum Atlanta will be hosting a series of German film screenings in 2019.

The first film in our series is Nirgendwo in Afrika (Nowhere in Afrika). The 2002 Academy Award Winner for Best Foreign Language Film follows a Jewish family who relocates to Kenya during the 1930s.

Films will be streamed in German with English subtitles. Parking will be validated for up to 4 hours for those parking in the Colony Square Garage. Light refreshments will be served.

FRANCO-GERMAN CULTURAL CENTER

Founded in 1976 as a branch of the Goethe Institut, our organization has served the German-speaking community in Atlanta and the Southeast for more than 45 years. 

As of September 2022, we are officially a KULTUR ENSEMBLE!

1 of 9 globally, and the only in North America, together with the Alliance Francaise d'Atlanta, we are the center for German and French language, culture, heritage and experiences in the heart of Downtown Atlanta.
