COME TOGÄTHER is a joined event hosted by the Honorary Consulate of Austria, Consulate General of Belgium in Atlanta, Consulate General of Germany in Atlanta, Honorary Consulate of Luxembourg, Consulate General of Switzerland in Atlanta, Chambers of Commerce from the participating countries and the Goethe-Zentrum Atlanta. The week celebrates the countries' shared language, diverse traditions, and modern lifestyles.
We will kick off the week with our Kurzfilmnacht, short movie night, and reception at the Goethe-Zentrum Atlanta where we will screen various short movies in German with English subtitles to highlight original, regional, diverse dialects.
An International Career Fair will be hosted at the Goethe-Zentrum Atlanta for those looking for or wanting to learn about career options in the international field.
Swiss Nashville-based guitarist and singer songwriter Andrea Benz will perform at the Schlagerparty followed by a lot of dancing, singing along with a live DJ, games and more.
During the week we will host Fashion Utopia Sustainability connects Fashion Utopia Atlanta – Berlin - Paris in collaboration with Sustainable Fashion Show Atlanta; featuring renowned author, Uwe Westphal, fashion industry experts, and a fashion photography exhibit.
The week of festivities will close with a Beer & Wine Tasting and photography exhibit by Ostbelgien photographer, Chris Eyre-Walker, where guests will have the opportunity to savor the many flavors of our countries and learn some fun facts about our dialects, food, beverages, and cultural identities.
