Experience German culture, traditions, and language in a fun and engaging program:

History of Sankt Nikolaus
Santa Haus @ the Christkindl Market (Buckhead Village District)

Every year on December 6, children (not just in) Germany look forward to St. Nikolaus who fills their clean (!) boots and shoes with chocolates, nuts, holiday cookies and other little treats and toys.
Learn about the legendary saint who lived about 1700 years ago, the customs in German-speaking countries, Europe, and beyond that we still celebrate today, and gain a new perspective about the original gift bringer, traditions of this holiday that connect us around the world.

Presentations, Q&A, sharing memories:

7:00 pm
Each presentation is about 20-25 minutes plus Q&A.
FREE to attend. No tickets needed. Seating is limited.

KULTUR ENSEMBLE

FRANCO-GERMAN CULTURAL CENTER

Founded in 1976 as a branch of the Goethe Institut, our organization has served the German-speaking community in Atlanta and the Southeast for more than 45 years. 

As of September 2022, we are officially a KULTUR ENSEMBLE!

1 of 9 globally, and the only in North America, together with the Alliance Francaise d'Atlanta, we are the center for German and French language, culture, heritage and experiences in the heart of Downtown Atlanta.
