The German term "Frühlingsfest" translates to "spring festival." This annual family-friendly celebration marks the end of winter and welcomes the renewal of spring. Frühlingsfests are popular traditions throughout Germany and other German-speaking countries, attracting over one million visitors annually. These vibrant community gatherings serve to strengthen social bonds after the isolation of winter through shared celebration.

The Goethe Connection - Johann Wolfgang von Goethe (1749-1832) was one of history's most influential German writers, poets, playwrights, scientists, and statesmen. As a towering literary figure in German culture, Goethe viewed spring festivals as symbols of transformation and renewal, reflecting his fascination with metamorphosis in both nature and human experience.
The Goethe-Zentrum Atlanta, The German Cultural Center for the Southeast, proudly brings Goethe's spirit to Westside Provisions District!

This family-friendly experience offers:
- Exhibitions by 60 exceptional local artists
- Authentic German and European beer, wine, and cuisine in our Biergarten and beer tent
- Live DJ sets and musical performances throughout the day
- Hourly cultural exhibitions in the "Goethe-Haus" tent
